More information’s about Society The goal of SPRM will be to educate the members through organization of scientific meetings and congresses dedicated to areas of pulmonology and respiratory alergology and related disciplines such as: infective pulmonary diseases, pulmonary oncology, pulmonary fibroses, pulmonary rehabilitation, preoperative assessment of patients with respiratory diseases etc. Furthermore, SPRM plans to organize training courses with international lecturers such as: thoracic ultrasound course, course for respiratory allergology, course for pulmonary rehabilitation, bronchoscopy course etc. at which the participants will gain practical knowledge. SPRM will organize activities on the occasion of world asthma day, COPD, rare pulmonary diseases, day without tobacco etc. SPRM will also organize activities to increase awareness of the harmful consequences of tobacco consumption, especially within the younger population. Furthermore, SPRM will increase awareness of the importance of a healthy environment and clean air and plans to be a factor of influence to Ministry of Health with advisory and educational role about the harmful consequences of air pollution. One of the goals of SPRM is to enhance collaboration with the respiratory societies in the region, Europe and the world and to encourage active participation of our members at their gatherings. The members of SPRM will benefit from reduced membership fees for the societies and registration fees for conferences and scientific meetings. SPRM will make an effort to foster further education of its members through contact with other societies. SPRM aims to make a registry for different respiratory diseases which will enable a precise overview of the prevalence of respiratory diseases in our country. SPRM will take part in renewing the guidelines for treatment of respiratory diseases in sync with evidence-based medicine and their adaptation according to our capabilities for prevention, diagnostics and treatment, having in mind the availability of human and material recources, diagnostic devices and drug therapy registered in our country.
